Edit from original, they did reach out and acknowledged the frustrations and are sending me a t-shirt. Small token but the acknowledgment is a sign of a company that at least is trying to get better.
Original review was 1 star - Their shipping team is riding the struggle bus. Ordered 2 door Bronco rack and side packs. The RaxPax came but the roof rack apparently went right back to their shipping facility. UPS kept notifying it was out for delivery. It was not. When it did arrive, it was damaged because whoever was filling the expanding foam didn’t do their job and so the rail mount was rattling around against the aluminum rail. The powder coat is really thin. Oh, and they accidentally shipped a second set of RaxPax! The part that stinks is we had a two day break in weather that would’ve been perfect to install but since it came damaged, couldn’t install. Called to get a replacement coming and to ask how to send the second RaxPax back (no I’m not the type of person who’d keep it) and no sympathy. The RaxPax employee who answered was not at work and was puzzled how I got his cell. My dude, your cell is in your email signature. FYI These are shipped by freight because the box is strapped and 102” long. So anytime a customer has to box one back up, it is a pretty big inconvenience. Here’s the best part, they sent a replacement for a 4 door Bronco rail. So now I had four rails and two sets of RaxPax. I asked them for a tshirt or something but got a “I’m not authorized to do that” from customer support. I packed the damaged 2 door rail, the 4 door rail, and the extra RaxPax and shipped them out today. When you pay a lot for shipping in a world of free shipping, it kinda takes the wind out of your sails if you’re ever unlucky enough to become the shipper back. You can do better RaxPax. Training shipping and customer service staff needs to be improved. I don’t even know if the rack is good yet because we missed our weather window for...
Read moreI recently purchased a roof rack for my Ranger for over $1000 and was disappointed with the quality upon arrival. The powder coating was lumpy and missing in several areas, and some of the holes were not cut properly. I contacted TrailRax, and while they acknowledged the finish was not up to their standards, their proposed solutions were unsatisfactory. They offered to replace the defective rack, but only if I paid for the return shipping. Even with a shipping discount, this would have been a significant additional cost to correct an error made by the manufacturer. The alternative offer of a $20 partial refund felt insufficient for a premium-priced product with visible flaws. It's frustrating to be in a position where I either have to pay more to receive the quality I originally ordered or accept a sub-par product. Expecting a customer to pay to correct a company's quality control issue is poor service, and for that reason, I am very let down by the...
Read moreMy wife and I have a 2024 Bronco Raptor (@bmasbraptor). We installed the TRMR roof rack along with the axe and shovel mount and rotopax kits. Installation was easy with the directions provided. I called and talked to Heston at Trailrax on more than more occasion. I needed info on mounting a GFC RTT, Alu-Cab awning, and a shower unit. He was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me get all the right parts and pieces along with great advice! I highly recommend this company because of high quality, American made, and great...
