This place is the definition of Microaggressive racism. My (Caucasian) friend and I decided to stop by here after brunch at the Village Bakery. I walked in the store and was not greeted by workers. I shrugged it off because I assumed they were busy talking about something important. Then my (Caucasian) friend walked in, the store worker stopped talking and greeted my friend. A few more (Caucasian) people walked in and the workers stopped to greet them too. The same thing happened as I left the store. The worker thanked my (Caucasian) friend and other (Caucasian) people for visiting the store but when it came to me it was dead silence. It was like I didn’t even exist. I purchased an expensive coffee table book (French chateau living) and a British baking book (for pastries with tea) as well as part of a very fancy Italian coffee set. I wish I could have purchased more beautiful items but I am not so rich. The staff were friendly and helpful while I was visiting the store. I liked the outdoor garden urns but was disappointed that the prices were very expensive considering that they were not real cast iron or terracotta rather light weight resin type which is not for my garden style.
