Honestly, I was so dreading going dress shopping after getting engaged, because I had heard so many stories of us curvy gals having the hardest time finding something they loved on their body. Betty & Beau was one of the first places on my list to check out for dresses because I had heard such wonderful things and I love supporting local businesses. And boy oh boy did they deliver!

I love that it's done by appointment, so I didn't have to worry about fighting other gals for a dress and being self-conscious about myself. The staff is phenomenal and so supportive. They really ask the right questions to find what you're looking for and recommend other options you might not have thought to try. And even better, they make it FUN! We we jamming to music, laughing and just having the best time. I felt like I was just hanging out with a bunch of my girlfriends.

Going to Betty and Beau for my wedding dress was the best decision for me. At first I was just going to buy a dress from one of the online bridal stores, but after reading reviews and learning of other people's experiences, I didn't want to do that. I have seen a lot of great posts on social media about other ladies experiences at Betty and Beau, so I decided why not give it a shot. I didn't HAVE to buy a dress from there, but what harm would it be to look. From the moment I made the appointment, Shelbe was amazing to work with. Before arriving for my appointment, she asked what style I liked and what type of dress I was looking for. When we arrived for the appointment, she had already picked some dresses she thought would fit with what I was looking for, and had us look for more. The nice part was that we had the shop to ourselves. It was such a personal experience because there was no one else that she had to help. I'm a plus size woman who rarely feels comfortable in my own skin, so though I was excited to go dress shopping, I was also very nervous.
