I stopped by to get soup to take home for dinner. The waitress said the "cup" of soups are big. Without suggesting or showing me the container she dished up 3 and brought them out. I asked her, "that's how big they are?" She asked me if I wanted a few more? I was in a hurry anyway and said no. She said they would be plenty and they are bigger than they look. I asked for bread instead of crackers and asked if it was homemade. She said no, but it's good bread. She got a plastic bag and put the soup into the bag. A plastic bag to put 3 scalding hot soups into without something to support them, really? I had to stand there at the high table by the bar with my feet sticking to the filthy floor, next to the bar rag that was left on that table and rearrange everything, put the soup on top of the bread's foam container and all the while she's standing there telling me it's going to be fine in the car and I should put them onto the floor. I got home and un-packaged the soup to find no butter for the bread, no salt or pepper, or silverware, not even a napkin. The pitifully small serving of soup was horrid, the flavor was awful, the noodles were disintegrating and really gross, like they were reheated from yesterday, the bread was super dry with no flavor, the girl was not helpful, just bossy and positive the soup would be enough to feed all of us, $15 dollars for about 1 1/2 soup which only fed 1 person, me and my hubby didn't eat ours, our teenager did. And my son, who will eat anything, said I don't know Ma... We have eaten there maybe 5-6 time in the past year, and each time it get's worse. The place has gone to hell- Never again, no Sir. Over priced, shrinking portions, terrible service, filthy conditions and gross food, felt like I went...

First of all everybody that worked there seem like they were extremely angry second of all the place was packed and every single table everybody had their jackets on and hoodies and hats some even had a earmuffs on It was so cold in there when I got my chili it was hot within the next couple minutes it was cold before I could even finish it It took our waitress about 10 minutes to light the candle we had on our table concerned the fact it is Valentine's Day The only time we seen her was when she came to get the money when we paid the bill except for one other time before that when she refilled our waters finally It's sad cuz we really like this place but the service always sucks so we probably won't go back ever again!! Again it's pretty said I've been eating at this place for at least the last 15 years on and off It used to be real good I just wish people actually enjoyed their jobs and I also wish people that worked at this restaurant were just nice to people cuz they probably would come back and not even think about putting a comment like this and I barely ever put comments like just about restaurants but it was like this last couple times we ate there we keep giving it another shot but we probably...

Stopped by on a whim. Thought it was going to be an actual Cafe. Turned out to be more high end priced food - Italian mostly but everything else reflected German. The waitstaff was standing around by the bar eating the bar nuts with the bartender. The kitchen is visible. One of the cooks was making smiley faces with an onion ring to the waitress, then put sauce on it and ate it right in front of all the diners. Didn't wash his hands afterwards. Flies everywhere - probably because the cooks were having a smoke out back when we got there with the back door wide open. My Daughters cheese fries had a hair in it. I sent it back and asked for another. No apologies or visit from the Manager (if there is one) and when the waiter brought it back he said "Here you go, nice clean fries". REALLY? Waiter offered my kids root beer and then brought bottles of root beer at $3.50 a piece. Somebody didn't bother to drain the pasta for my chicken parm so it was watery on the bottom. Left paying waay too much money for crappy food and service. Also was grossed out and didn't eat for the rest of the day. AVOID THIS PLACE...

Food was great. Try the pretzel and fries. Fish we also awesome as was the beer selection. When we came in the manager asked where we were from and we said we were staying at the KOA. Later he came by and asked if we brought the coupon from the KOA, and even though we forgot it, he honored it. Great food and service and the price wasn't bad. 3 adult entrees, 2 appetizers , 2 kids meals, and a beer totaled about $60. Oh and the kids menu is inside kids books which my kids read while waiting. Great idea!

Fish fry was great. I preferred the cod but the walleye was great too. Best home made, I think, tartar sauce for dipping. Staff was friendly and attentive. I sat by the bar and met some fellow patrons.... Update... This place is still great. Stop in for Taco Tuesday. Burritos included. Gail was a great hostess/ bartender/ waitress..Jake and Tito were in the kitchen cooking up everything good in the kitchen. I highly recommend stopping here any day of the week.

Good food, friendly service. I recommend a burger and waffle fries. Seating area is pretty cramped, and we were the only family with little kids there at the time. I felt like we were right on top of the table next to us. Kids menu is typical kids menu. Grilled cheese, chicken strips. I couldn't find the kids menu online, so I attached a picture. They do have a PB&J that was really good. WAY too messy for my 2 Y.O. but it was good.
