You should definitely pay a full visit. That's just about all you pay in full, because everything else is a great deal.. Great Inventory, Great Price, Great people, and best of all....No BS. For pawns, purchases, or trade ins; this is the place to go first in Marietta. I once reluctantly pawned a $400 ESQ watch that had a lot of sentimental value to me. It had a slight crack on the bezel but I loved it. I know I couldn't ask for much , having dealt with typical pawns before, but since I was just settling in and could use the extra cash; I went to Delk Road Pawn for the first time. Mark, the manger, could see that I didn't really want to pawn it. He insisted that I take a loan on it and come back for it. As time past the loan expired but I had not forgotten about the watch. Two months later I went back out of curiosity and I was doing much better at that point. Much to my surprise I saw it over in the corner. I asked about it. Mark told me that since the loan expire, we had it repaired and it just came back not later than a week ago and he was about to be put on display soon. Mark reviewed the expired loan and added the repair then sold it back to me at a really great price. I even tipped him for keeping it and repairing it. Since then, I've purchased at Smart 42' TV ( Great story behind that, Mark yet again went out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction) , an Xbox 360, an iPAD for a friend, a laptop, and some Studio Equipment. Needless to say, you should definitely pay a full visit. That's just about all you pay in full, because everything else is a...
Read moreSo I had a bill that needed to be paid and was short on cash. I visited BIg Chicken Pawn to try to get a fair deal on pawning my brand new Taylor acoustic/electric guitar. They offered me $100! You can buy them used for around $650 or so! I was so disgusted by this offer that I took the guitar home and forgot about the bill that needed to be paid. Unfortunately, the bill still needed to be paid a week later, so I was gonna just have to bite the bullet and take the reaming from Big Chicken Pawn. On my way there I saw Delk Road Pawn and decided to stop in( it was closer to my house and why not right)? As soon as I walked in I was instantly greeted with smiles and jokes that made me feel better about my situation! When I asked for $200 Ed immediately said no problem! told me that he was there to help me out, not screw me over. Not to mention, he bumped it up to $220 because he knew the value and wanted to be fair! Unbelievable! I was in complete shock at this point! He then explained the pay back agreement which was geared to benefit me! I just can't explain how impressed and happy I am with this company! I honestly thought that all Pawn shops were evil, but Ed and Mark made my uncomfortable situation not only comfortable, but comforting! Thanks...
Read moreI called many pawn shops, trying to get a estimate on some items before I dragged big ass boxes and a 6 month old anywhere!!! I didn't hear the friendliest people, or some of them wouldn't even do it, saying they had to see the items that were still in the boxes taped up when I could give them a item code and number (lairs). Al was the friendliest person I spoke to all day. Although I thought I'd wait awhile, I went in the next day. He met with me and gave me a fair price considering the numbers I did hear from the rude people I spoke to. Passing the processing time with the Beatles playing he also had polite appropriate conversation. I left happy. Don't let the bareness of the shop fool you. He sells a lot of stuff quickly. If he has it, he has it. He's my #dopestpersonoftheweek and my first choice if I ever have something else to pawn! The drive there on the weekend with no traffic from Doraville to Delk Rd. only took...
