Woodville Pool — Local services in Woodville

I've been taking my grand babies to this pool for a few weeks, even bought a pre-paid punch card due to it being so clean. I thought it was odd that it was not very busy but now I know why. I'm absolutely horrified by what I witnessed yesterday, 07/14/2024! I arrived with my 2 grand babies and the young lady behind the counter was polite, even friendly, a few minutes later my friend meets me there with her MIXED children and they way they were treated absolutely DISGUSTED me. The young blonde girl behind the counter demeanor completely changed, she was huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes, and giving dirty looks the whole time they were there to the point that another person with us asked her if she hated her job because she was being so nasty. She replied rudely that she loved her job and again rolled her eyes, and this continued every time one of the kids ran past the concession window. After that, we decided to leave because she was making them so uncomfortable and as we were getting the kids out the pool with her glaring at us, we tried to ignore her until one of the kids (she's 2 y/o) hurt herself and was crying and this heartless lady sighed very loudly and again made a face and rolled her eyes as walking off. The mom of the MIXED 2 y/o child asked her if there was a problem with her kids and it blew up from there, just absolutely chaos. She tried making the mom leave without getting all her kids and nephews out of the pool, we had about half the kids out already as we were already leaving due to being uncomfortable. The employee was screaming at her to get out and the mom screamed back that she was not leaving without her kids. When the mom didn't leave without her kids, she called the police and said she was being threatened and than just hung up on them with no further explanation. The officer, thinking she was in danger, came flying up with lights and sirens, all the kids were scared and crying due to this whole scene! The officer was very nice, apologized for how he pulled up and explained what she had done. Racism is very real and it shocked me how comfortable she was being so obviously disgusted by MIXED CHILDREN. I wish I had thought to take a picture or video of this young lady, she should be ashamed. I'm saddened that in this day that there are people still like this. By the way, we were there to celebrate the 13th birthday for one of the boys that she was so nasty to. I hope she sees this and reflects on her actions and the way she treats people of all races. Yesterday was our first day here and we loved it! The facility was clean and well kept and the guards and manager were extremely professional and friendly. The manager, Lori, personally gave my kids swim tests and then watched them closely as they went down the slide for the first time. My son started to go down while wearing goggles, but the manager gently reminded him that he needed to remove them before going down so he didn't hurt his eyes when he landed in the water. She then cheered and clapped for him when he overcame his fear and went down. You can't find a better seasonal facility where the staff genuinely cares about the safety of everyone and so wonderfully displays how much they love their jobs. We will definitely...
