Speedtrap Diner — Restaurant in Woodville

If I could give negative stars I most certainly would. My husband and I decided to finally stop here for lunch after many times of just driving by. It’s a cute little place from outside, when we walked in it’s also filled to the brim with things to take in before seating yourself. As we were standing looking at everything the first girl told us to sit where we’d like to which I replied ok thank you were just looking around. After a short period of time another female said to us in a not so friendly tone, you can sit where you want. To which I again replied oh thank you we’re just taking in tour decor. So, we sat in a booth. A female came and got our drink order. Brought them and asked if we were ready to order which we weren’t because they have a rather extensive menu. After a few minutes she returned and we ordered. Keep in mind we ordered only an omelette, a grilled cheese with Mac n cheese on it, and a appetizer of chili cheese tots. At this time there was one table of ladies just sitting down to order. We sat there talking as the small restaurant started to fill with more customers. Here’s where the issue arises. We sat there and watched as 5 other tables that had come in 5 mins after us to 20 mini after us all order, receive their drinks, appetizers, salads and finally there meals. A couple that had sat down 25 mins after we arrived had their drinks & food in under 10 mins. We sat and watched this happen for 40mins until we decided they obviously were never going to serve us our food. So, after 50mins of waiting for the things we ordered, & never received we got up and walked out. As we sat in our car the 2 females that were forced to interact with us heavily tattooed heathens in their eyes stood in the doorway just staring at us as we left. They just refused to serve me and asked me to leave. They said i conplain when i come in there. I have ate there maybe 6 times in the last 10 years. I habe complained about the extremely slow service maybe 4 out of the 6 times. Their service is slow in thr kitchen and the servers never check back on you and you have to flag them down to get boxes or the bill. But yet i still have went back in there. I ate there a few weks ago and it was good nothing to complain about. But today i cant be served. I put a bad review on here and they took it off. So you better not review it or you will be refused service. That was very rude of them. Then when we left a Lady came out and we were talking to het and she said she had been waiting 45 min for food. I told her not to complain or they would kick her out. Thats was really bad of them to do that. I had 3 kids with me that were upset because they wanted to eat. I feel very disrespected. Because they give bad business and we customers complain about it they treat the customers like that. Thats ok though we are at grannys kitchen. They have better food service and prices. We just wanted a change. *To the owner that replies to this, this was a review I left like 5 years ago. Not sure why this says a week ago???? Tried this place twice. Both occasions my family has been overlooked. Thankfully on this occasion they actually offered us menus. However, how is that someone who comes in 12-15 minutes after us gets their food first? I understand cook times vary but we didn’t even get our appetizer before they got their full meals… I’m not one to consider my skin tone a problem but, unfortunately, I am lead to believe that in this instance it was. IF YOU HAVE ANY MELANIN CONTENT, I RECOMMEND USING THE WALK UP WINDOW for ice cream which is great! The food is priced high for what you get but is quite tasty. Just disappointed having felt something that I haven’t felt since living in the south. I could be wrong. It could have just been the circumstance, just be warned. Btw I did still tip as the server did check up on us a couple of times and was nice. NOTE: waiting time for food seems to be a concern from other reviewers, there were only 3 other tables at the time.
