We had a birthday party here for 11 year olds that included laser tag and an escape room. The place is pristinely decorated and lit with precision. You will feel as if you are on a movie set. Their "Gamemaster" during laser tag, Mason, was incredibly fun and helpful. He explained everything so that every child could participate fully and remain safe. The "Gamemaster" for our escape room, Maddie, was very helpful to the children during the experience. She was very fun and informative and answered all my questions. Both of them clearly take pride in their work and in the work that they do. THANK YOU, MASON AND MADDIE! The bathrooms are incredibly clean. The party rooms are immaculate and spacious. All the children had an absolute BLAST! We will return again and again. If one of the tvs in the waiting area could show what is happening in the laser tag room or the escape rooms for parents, that would be super cool.
ACCESSIBILITY REVIEW: The handicap spot is a bit far from the door. (Maybe 150 steps?) However, the walkway is clear and there are no steps. (You park on the side of the building but must walk around to the all black front door. (I do wish there was a sign on the actual door through which you enter the building.) Once inside there are plenty of benches and high-boy stool seating in the "waiting area." The laser tag area and escape room are dimly lit and there are some spaces where you would have to climb or crawl, but there are also open areas and barriers that you can hide behind if you cannot crawl or climb. The bathroom has handles on the wall and would accommodate a wheelchair. All hallways are wide and passable. Every activity is on the same level, so NO...

Our experience at this escape room was like starring in a low-budget horror film. To quote a great philosopher, "Life sucks and then you die," and this place proves it. The lady working there must have been on a break from her usual job as a professional sloth because she refused to help us at all. It felt like she didn’t even want us to escape!
We begged for clues like contestants on a game show, but she was about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. We tried a code on one of the locks more times than I can count. When time was up, she sauntered in to show us the "right" way, only to discover we had the correct code all along—the lock was broken! She couldn’t open it either and had to call in the bolt cutters.
And guess what? No extra time for us, even though their broken lock ruined our game. She casually mentioned that the stuff in the box wasn’t vital to moving on. Seriously? That’s like saying, “Hey, you didn’t need that missing piece of the puzzle, it was just the corner piece.” How on earth were we supposed to know that if we couldn't open the box???
Oh, and did I mention it was super expensive? I paid an arm and a leg for this nightmare. But don’t worry—she generously gave us a little coupon to come back. Why on earth would we want to come back to this dumpster fire of an escape room? This place is a bigger joke than my love life, and I...
Read moreWarning: Lengthy Review..OK..where to start? First and foremost I wish we had discovered this place WAYYY BEFORE the other activities we tried. Initially before booking I read the reviews and while the majority were great there were a few that made this place seem like it would be a mediocre experience. WRONG! We booked 2 escape rooms (1 challenge room and 1 escape room). We had 3 ppl for the challenge room Lillys House and 5 for the escape room Carls Bunker. Originally only 3 of us were booked for the escape room and they let us add 2 more people at the last minute which was GREAT. The games were AWESOME! We were greeted and checked in by the owner Justin and he was very polite. After both games he allowed us a photo and then took us on a tour of the ENTIRE FACILITY. He was super accomadating and the laser tag arena blew my mind! The prices were fitting and they have a ton of space. It was a bit warm in our rooms but that wasnt very noticeable until after because we were so engaged. There was a decent amount of parking and they offer sanitizer in every room to keep you as germ free as possible during covid. You will NOT be disappointed here. It's a place to have fun with your friends and use your brain but not in a frustrating way. I will ABSOLUTELY be back with my friends to try their last escape room. Thanks Justin you do Combat Chicago justice and we had...
