I just love the staff at J&J although I don’t know them personally. I also love the pork and the beef steak. The bacon is cut to my liking and it is delicious. I’ve had excellent results with the bone in pork roasts and I just can’t overstate the enjoyment I’ve had cooking them for my family and then inventing something creative with the leftover. Slow braised bone in pork that has just the right amount of fat makes the most awesome pulled pork sandwiches and tacos. I wasn’t completely thrilled with the cheddar cheese but we did enjoy it. We have been going to the Yantis location since they opened. Always excellent service and meats. Unfortunately we moved away a couple of years ago but we still make the2.5 hour drive whenever we can because we like the place that much. We went today and was very disappointed that the whole staff had changed. There used to be a woman named Denise that was very friendly and would call us when special items came in. Today we went and the meat seemed the same quality but some grumpy old man was behind the counter and his attitude just ruined the experience. I know it's tough getting help these days but this guy has to be hurting business, I'm really not sure if we'll be back...

I love the meat they get in there and the service I suggest MOAB which is an amazing choice of beef with a little kick. Also the pimento cheese spread is great.
