Friendly staff, family vibes are evident and incredibly welcoming. Large selection of fabric from novelty to batik to wide backs. Always find a treasure or two or three in the clearance section I can’t live without. Not local for me, but I make it a point to visit wherever I’m in the area. My last visit happened to be four consecutive days while at a retreat. The last day, I had a flat tire, and stopped in while hoping the tire place nearby could help my car. I drove two miles past the big box store that also carries craft supplies because I wanted to give my business to a local store. I will not make that mistake again when it comes to Gee Gee's. I had to listen to several employees rant about how some saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" was offensive and that they thought having the Menorah up in store and civil displays in honor of Hanukkah was offensive. They also spent several minutes loudly ranting about the term "happy holidays" as a PC trick to try and ruin Christmas because heaven forbid we acknowledge the several other religious holidays that fall at the same time of the year as Christmas. This is my absolute favorite place to buy fabric. I am a 30-something quilter, but I’m also on a budget and I hate crowded and loud stores. Certain box stores are unnecessarily expensive and loud with outrageous lines for the fabric counter. This store is a little slice of paradise. They have everything you could ever possibly ask for in fabric, rows and rows of endless bolts in every pattern and color and season. I could spend hours here and not see it all. The prices are reasonable, not expensive at all, and they even have special discount sections! The staff are helpful and friendly.
