Gem Boutique is the absolute best! If I needed any appraisal, custom creation or repair work done, financial advice or just life advice in general, I would travel across the globe to come here! The staff is very welcoming, kind and helpful, although the owner Jin Jou, is what really solidified my admiration for this business. Jin Jou is a beautiful soul. She's very creative, professional, kind and most importantly one of the most genuine people I've ever met; who sincerely cares about her clients. The first time I came in her store I felt very welcome and came back at a later date to complete my transaction with her. She is the most knowledgeable in her trade and very fair. She spent a lot of time talking with me, not just about her craft, but encouraging me and helping to support me in areas of my life that had nothing to do with the transaction-because she genuinely cares about people and loves what she does and it shows! I will be forever grateful for the quality time she spent with me. There are moments in a person's life where we are impacted and we carry those treasured moments with us forever, this was definitely one of those moments for me. I recently had a custom engagement ring made at Gem Boutique. I found Gem Boutique online by looking up jewelry stores and reviews. The first thing that caught my attention was the ridiculous amount of reviews this place had and its 5 star rating. After reading some reviews I had to check out this place myself. Upon arrival I was greeted with a very warm and friendly vibe. Jin definitely has a passion for what she does. I could clearly see that with how excited she was to show me peices that she had currently made and peices that she had made in the past. She is extremely knowledgeable and very honest with her opinions. The options of customization seem endless. One of the things that really made my experience so great was the fact that she actually asked questions about myself and the love of my life. She incorporated that into the the type of design for the custom ring. Her prices were also very reasonable compared to other Jewelers in the area especially for the quality. High quality is definitely a standard for Jin because of her huge passion and her gift that she has for creating custom jewellery. My overall experience was actually a fun and enjoyable process. I was so pleased to find Gem Boutique and Jin Jou last week after visiting and talking with several jewelers in Harrisburg. I was looking for a fair price for my broken and/or used gold jewelry, and she paid me over 25% more than the highest offer I received in Harrisburg and over three times what I was offered by a jeweler in Hershey. I believe the amount I was paid was due to a combination of fair weighing and her very fair price for scrap gold. I called around and some gold buyers in Harrisburg were offering less than half the amount she paid for pennyweight/gram - on the same day!!

I would strongly urge you check out this shop and talk with Jin Jou about selling your used jewelry or scrap gold before you do business elsewhere. After some rude treatment and some questionable procedures and offers, it was so nice to be greeted with warmth and courtesy and to be treated with respect. I wasn't rushed or pressured to accept her offer as I had been elsewhere. When I was confused about how they were calculating the value, everything was patiently explained.
