I would have to say that the food is great, but unfortunately, the atmosphere and service is subpar if you are of a different ethnicity, more specifically Hispanic, or to what some of the workers refer to as “the Mexicans”.
I say this because two of the three times I have been there I have had the displeasure of overhearing workers discussing the sudden increase of Mexicans in the area. No, not the other countless Hispanic countries out there like Bolivia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Cuba, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica (beautiful place, go visit), Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, Spain, Panama, Venezuela, Uruguay, and there is more. –just the Mexicans, from Mexico.
This made me uncomfortable because I am Mexican, from Mexico.
So, with that being said, go to NuNu’s, get your meats, they are f*^#(@! delicious, and if you happen to hear bigoted comments, remember to be kind to those poor lost souls that speak this nonsense. NuNu’s does a lot for the community and it would be a shame if bigoted views from a few workers starts to hinder their ability to continue to...
Read more1,000 times better than Rouses. Friendly staff. They treat you like family. They greet you AND say goodbye and see you next time, every time. They are always waiting on you hand and foot on any isle ESPECIALLY in wine section. They know what they're doing for sure! Proud to support this local grocery store!
Also, im a sushi connoisseur and have never ever liked sushi from gas stations, grocery stores, Chinese restaurants- in my opinion its a dish that must be consumed fresh from a sushi chef at a well known Japanese restaurant... HOWEVER... they have a fresh sushi bar here that is by far some of THE highest grade sushi I have eaten not only outside of a Japanese restaurant but in fact I would say even in authentic Japanese restaurants, too (excluding the one and only Osaka) which is by far the highest quality sushi in the region.. but thats for anothe review! HOPE THIS HELPS TELL THEM TYLER SENT YA!...

Anyone who knows anything about boudin knows there isn't a "best" boudin because it's about preference. NuNu's is my personal favorite. This is a neighborhood grocery store that's not super accessible. You will likely need to go out of your way to find them. I lived in Youngsville at one point, so when I discovered NuNu's boudin while I was doing some grocery shopping, I found their awesome boudin and rice dressing mix. They actually have a very good liquor department. Beer, not so much. Just the standard domestic lagar and lite beers. Overall, they are a really good neighborhood grocery store one would expect to find in Southwest Louisiana. They just so happen to have...
