I purchased a dress in Chula Vista and was told the dress could be altered with a 3 day turn around. After making an appointment I was advised that they didn't have a seamstress. I contacted Massaky's and went in the following day. I was advised they could try to fix the dress but they would need to cut the hem (which I didn't really want to do) and would have it for me in a week. I was called a few days later to ask me to come in saying the dress was ready and they had done a few things that we hadn't talked about. When I got there I was extremely happy with what she had done. Somehow they were able to alter it and leave the hem as I wanted, shortened, added a corset, and saved my dress! Excellent, excellent service. I am getting married soon and I needed a few alterations made to my wedding dress locally, so I found Massaky's and took a chance based on the great reviews. I was immediately put at ease with the owner during my first fitting, it was clear that she has a tremendous amount of experience and a good eye for what changes could/should be made and which ones wouldn't work. My dress is crepe without lace or beading so all alterations need to be PERFECT or they will be obvious but work they did on my dress was perfect, the adjustments to the bust and sleeves came out perfect. I would give 0 stars but unfortunately I can't. I took my PROM dress to get tailored and asked for certain things and when the dress was given to me NOTHING i asked for was done, she had fixed the dress how she wanted and didn't fix what I told her. Basically made the dress how she liked it. We even wrote down what we wanted so there would be no mistakes but the lady did not care and continued to argue saying that's what I asked for. She didn't fulfill my request because she thought it was "inappropriate" when it was not her dress or her decision but it didn't stop her to fix the dress how she wanted. I would...
