La Michoacana PLUS -Yuma Arizona- — Restaurant in Yuma

This place was recommended by someone at the Yuma River company. It is a very large ice cream parlor that also serves other snack type foods. It wasn't super clearly marked with a sign, but google maps got us there. The parking lot is large and there is quite a bit of seating inside. There are booths and tables. I didn't see an actual menu at all, but my kids just wanted ice cream. And wow did they have a lot of options! All kinds of flavors of ice cream, but also Popsicles, other frozen treats, and sorbet!

I got a scoop of cucumber sorbet and a scoop of watermelon sorbet. I got the cucumber because I was so intrigued at the idea of a cucumber sorbet haha. But it was absolutely fantastic for the refreshing treat I wanted.

Me and my friends went for the first time last night and to be honest i was really disappointed. The tostielote and esquite was good but the agua de fruta and paletas were pretty bad. The paleta tasted like it was stored for months, it literally tasted like a fridge. And the agua de fruta barely had any fruit in it. They don’t even have a visible menu, the menu is a small paper next to the register like what??? Also the prices are ridiculous considering the portions that you get. I asked them if i could get a cup with mango chunks and chamoy and they didn’t want to do it. You’re a antojos place and have the ingredients but don’t want to make it? Doesn’t make any sense. I visited for the first time as I had heard many others rave about this place. I went in person as I wanted to see what the menu was like. Unfortunately, you have to look at their pamphlet and their is no menu board to look at with an example of prices. But when I got to the front after waiting not that long, I told the young lady what I wanted. She was super sweet and gave me suggestions. I ordered churros with ice cream on top (like a churro sundae), the cookies n creme paleta, and my husband got a mangonada. Sadly, my churros were over cooked, but it won't stop me from going back.
