Went every day and it was fun! The only downfall I think is the cost of everything. I understand it's the Fair. But it's still too expensive. I also prefer to pay with a card rather than carry cash. But each place that accepted cards added a huge fee on top of your purchase. I think that is a bit rediculous. I would have spent more money if I didn't have to pay a fee every time I used my card. My son was in 4H and having to be there often for different things with his chickens. Which I don't know who makes the rules about everything but I think that he should have been able to bring his "disqualifing" chicken home rather than making her stay there in a small dark cage for the rest of the week. This was a problem for me that I really didn't like. But I do realize it wasn't about me. It was an excellent learning experience for my son. He absolutely loved taking his chickens to the Fair and had a wonderful time at auction selling his bird. Who I also had an issue with not wanting to part with her! So it was a huge learning lesson for both of us! He will continue with 4H next year and I won't be such a "helicopter" mom! Also the parking and admission issue could have been ran a little more smoothly with better communication for "newbies" such as myself. Would have been nice to be able to park closer to them rather than be told we "weren't on a list" just to park in the back on the dirt. So we had to fight the crowds which I have social anxiety and crowds really bother me. So by the end of the week I was absolutely done with the Fair.... Until...
Read moreI went to this facility last night for a Silver Spurs Rodeo (silverspursrodeo.com). Before this began, I was welcomed by a female announcer over the loud speaker who stated I "have to" stand "not kneel" for the national anthem or I could leave. A direct reference to the Colin Kaepernick movement from September 2016.
Of course this race based FOXnews style offer was made after they had $150 of my hard earned money already tightly tucked into their narrow minded bigoted hearts since money is the only thing they really have any love for.
Anyone who is disgusted by groups who breath life into old hate speech for applause should not support this facility with their money, including your federal dollars they no doubt survive on because with those kind of open arms, without federal assistance, you'd be what you should be, not open to the public.
I hope the two people injured by a bucking horse that jumped the arena fence during Sunday's performance sue you out of existence. Perhaps your focus should be on safety and not Christian prayer, how to demonstrate allegiance, or racism. Guess you reap what you sow.
Never again will I support a Yuma Arizona city or county facility. You people have too much room...
Read moreI give it a two for a very specific reason, first of all my fiance and his family have been going to the fair for years, weâve never had issues with the kids rides before. My two year old got to go on a bunch of them last year (when he was one) as long as I was with him. This year that was not the case at all, every ride I tried to go on with him they said he was too small, I was pissed as there was no height requirements on the website when ordering the bracelets for him. He was at 35 and a half on their signs and as I stated I was gonna go with him in them, even the fun houses he couldnât go in. Which caused for tantrums as this made it to where he couldnât do anything and we spend money on the bracelet for nothing! Very disappointed with the...
