🏔️ A Relaxed (Yet Thrilling) Day Trip in Aspen Town
On the last day of my Colorado ski trip, after dropping off friends at Buttermilk for skiing, I headed to Aspen town for some leisurely exploration and good food. Compared to Vail, which feels more commercialized, Aspen has a low-key luxurious charm with a deeper sense of heritage – and this trip totally proved it! We started with a reservation at a brunch spot 🍽️. Finally free from the “ski marathon” mode, I ordered a Welcome to Aspen cocktail 🍹 – surprisingly delicious! Turns out everyone else was ordering it too. Highly recommend! The food was decent – I went for a burger since I drove all the way from Vail 🍔. My friend had pasta which was good, but the lamb didn’t stand out 🐑. After eating, we started shopping. First stop: 🫏 Bottega Veneta. The staff was super nice – gave great suggestions and even hooked me up with a sample of my favorite rose perfume! When we didn’t find what we wanted, they kindly suggested we try Prada next door. So friendly! 🧡 Then we swung by 🐎 Hermès – but it was closed (note: Sundays!). Remember that, folks! 🚪❌ After grabbing dessert 🍰, we spotted some cute dogs outside 🐕, then passed by Gucci. Gotta say – their marketing events are next level! Champagne 🥂 and caviar? The last time I experienced something like this was at a Loewe event in Tokyo! We decided to check out a wallet my friend wanted. The sales associates were lovely 💁♂️. Aspen is so quiet – we just chilled, chatted, sipped drinks, and snacked. We browsed a few other places but ended up back at Gucci – their designs felt younger and more stylish. When we returned, the store was a bit busier. My friend and I joked that we were the coolest (and poorest 😂) kids in Aspen. I even casually placed my Sony A7C camera on the coffee table... then we changed seats while browsing. Everything was perfect… until… ————— 😱 The Thrilling Moment ————— After paying, we enjoyed one last glass of champagne 🍾 and were about to leave for dinner… when I realized – MY CAMERA WAS GONE! 📸 The staff and other customers all started searching with me. My mind raced: “Who would want my camera? It’s not even a Leica or Hasselblad!” 😅 Luckily, one of the sales guys had safely stored it away and brought it out, double-checking the brand with me before handing it back. What a relief! To lighten the mood, they poured us another round of Perrier-Jouët champagne 🥂. We all toasted – turning a panic moment into a happy memory. Gucci’s service won my heart! ❤️ Now I’m ready to return to the world of fine porcelain~ ✨ #AspenFood #Gucci #RelaxedStyle #AcneScarf #Moncler #Chanel #SonyCamera
