🏙️ Chicago Quick Trip|City Walk & Plog

This visit to Chicago was mostly for work and study, but I managed to squeeze in about a day and a half for some quick exploring! 📍 Day 1 Started with UChicago (famous for its Gothic architecture and strong academic vibes 🏛️) and Northwestern (their lakeside campus is so peaceful 🌊). Both campuses are beautiful in different ways – loved the purple-themed decorations and painted rocks at Northwestern! 💜 Then tried a Filipino restaurant with a friend – unique and tasty flavors! 👍 (Shoutout to my friend for driving me around and treating me to meals! 🥲❤️) 📍 Day 2 Switched to city walk mode 🚶‍♀️ Walked to the Art Institute of Chicago – definitely worth a slow visit! Recommend at least 3+ hours if you want to see everything. 🖼️ It’s one of the oldest and largest art museums in the US (second only to the Met in NYC!). Their collection is incredible – from Impressionist works to modern art. Saw Monet’s Water Lilies and Van Gogh’s self-portraits! 🌌🧑‍🎨 Took a taxi to Chinatown for lunch – tried a potato noodle hotpot (decent but not amazing, so do your research! 🍜), then grabbed boba at Molly Tea 🥤. After that, headed to the airport ✈️. 💡 P.S. After the art museum, you can walk to the nearby park to see The Bean and the fountain – I didn’t have time, but it’s highly recommended! I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton – just a 7-min walk to the museum 🏨, felt safe around the area, and though a bit old, it’s super convenient! Even though it was a short trip, I really felt the charm of Chicago! Enjoyed the summer vibe – might come back in winter to see if I still like it 😆❄️ #ChicagoTravel #ChicagoSpots #ArtInstituteOfChicago #CampusTour #UChicago #Northwestern #CityWalk #StudyAbroadLife #VanGoghSighting
