🍽️ Chicago Weekend Date Spot|Bavette‘s Bar & Boeuf

📍 Bavette‘s Bar & Boeuf Part of the same restaurant group as Cicio Mio (which I posted before) — and seriously popular! 🔥 Last-minute reservations usually only get you a 9 or 10 PM slot. The decor leans vintage and moody, though personally I prefer the more artsy, cozy vibe of Cicio Mio. But when it comes to food — Bavette’s wins hands down! 😋 👍 Recommended Dishes: 🦐 Shrimp Cocktail – buttery and garlicky, served with toasted bread 🍞. An absolute must-order here! 🥩 Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye – We often dry-age steaks at home, so we wanted to compare. The open-flame sear here beats our induction stove any day! 🔥 The meat was tender and cooked evenly — just perfect. 👎 Not Recommended: 🍗 Spiced Fry Chicken – Saw so many recommendations online and had to try… The portion was huge, served with thick mashed potatoes underneath. It was fine, but nothing special. The mashed potatoes were decent though! 🍄 Butter Mushrooms – A side dish, but still a big serving. They tasted slightly bitter, not our favorite. 🤔 Want to Try Next Time: 🦴 Bone Marrow – Heard it’s incredibly rich and flavorful here! Overall, portions are generous — we ended up taking leftovers home. But at a steakhouse, you’re better off sticking with the beef dishes. The fried chicken? You can skip it. 😅 #ChicagoSteakhouse #BavettesChicago #ChicagoDateNight #ChicagoFood #ChicagoEats
