Took advantage of the recent Southwest Airlines sale and talked my friends into a Labor Day getaway ✈️🎉. Route: Dallas → Houston → Corpus Christi (Note: same-plane connection in Houston – no deplaning needed!). Didn’t want to spend another boring long weekend in Dallas 😴… so we decided to explore the Texas coast! 🌊 After landing, we picked up a rental car at Corpus Christi Airport 🚗💼. I was honestly surprised — Texas has such beautiful coastal scenery! 🤩🏖️ And guess what? It’s even cooler than Dallas (this summer in Dallas was absolutely brutal 🔥😮💨). 📍 Today’s Stops: USS Lexington 🛳️⚓ – Such an impressive retired aircraft carrier! Mustang Island State Park 🏞️ – You can drive straight onto the beach via multiple Beach Access Roads 🚙🐾.
