๐๏ธ Houston Coast๏ฝQuick Trip to Surfside Beach & Galveston
Started from Katy and first stopped at Surfside Jetty County Park โ about a 1.5-hour drive ๐๐จ. Saw Chinese families having picnics ๐งบ, lots of people fishing ๐ฃ (they were catching ribbonfish!), and some even crabbing ๐ฆ. It was way too hot when we arrived though, so we just walked around a bit and then drove on to Galveston. The coastal drive was beautiful โ passed so many colorful and unique houses along the way! ๐๐ After just over an hour, we reached Galveston โ such a cool place! Perfect for swimming, digging in the sand ๐๏ธ๐ถ, and relaxing. We just scoped it out this time since Houstonโs sun is still blazing hot right now ๐ โ๏ธ. The area is compact and easy to explore, with a historic downtown street full of charming old buildings and shops ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ. Headed back after a nice day โ another 1.5-hour drive.
