Just got back from Gotham City โ hereโs my itinerary and food recap! ๐๏ธ๐ฝ๏ธ Day 1 โฐ 9 AM: Departed Toronto โ crossed at Ambassador Bridge ๐ ๐ Lunch: Zukin's Rib Shack โ ribs were amazing + fried frog legs ๐ธ! (Takeout only) ๐ Arrived Chicago 8 PM โ stayed at citizenM Downtown (great location, book parking ahead!) ๐ฎ Dinner: Broken English Taco Pub โ decent tacos ๐ฎ Day 2 โ Morning: Blue Bottle Coffee โ Iced Nola was refreshing! ๐ ๐ณ Millennium Park: Saw The Bean & Crown Fountain โฒ ๐ธ Stopped at Adams & Wabash L Station โ skybridge views (ticket required) ๐๏ธ Chicago Cultural Center โ stunning dome ceiling! ๐ Lunch: The Purple Pig Mushroom Risotto ๐งโจ (cheesy, rich, highly recommend!) Pork Belly ๐ Half Duck ๐ฆ (a bit dry & greasy) ๐ผ๏ธ Afternoon: Art Institute of Chicago โ grab a map, layout can be confusing! ๐ข 6:45 PM: Shoreline Sightseeing Architecture Cruise (75 mins) โ bring a jacket! Perfect timing for sunset + city lights ๐๐ ๐ Dinner: Ramen-San โ 10hr Tonkotsu Ramen was rich & delicious! ๐ Day 3 โ Breakfast at Starbucks Reserve Roastery (3rd floor) Pastries were a bit sweet, but Tiramisu Cold Brew was good! ๐๏ธ Shopped along Magnificent Mile ๐ต Lunch: Minghin Cuisine โ delicious dim sum! ๐ฅข ๐งButterbeer at Harry Potter store โ super sweet soda (no alcohol!) ๐ต ๐ช Afternoon: Crumbl Cookies โ got 6 mini cookies, so good! ๐ช ๐ 8 PM: Took night photos at Chicago Theatre ๐ญ ๐ฅ Eataly for snacks โ cocktails on Starbucks 4th floor โ both fun! ๐ Ended at Navy Pier for fireworks! Day 4 ๐ Headed back to Toronto ๐ Lunch in Detroit: Bad Brads BBQ Pork Burnt Ends & Ribs ๐ Beef Brisket was rough, Chicken ๐ ๐ Quick stop at Trader Joeโs for snacks ๐ซ ๐ Crossed back to Canada via Blue Water Bridge An unforgettable mix of architecture, art, and amazing food โ highly recommend! ๐คฉ๐ธ #Toronto #Chicago #ChicagoLife #ChicagoFood #TravelGuide #UToronto #FoodieAdventure ๐๐บ๐ธ
