Strawberry Picking at Downey's Farm 🍓 The great 2025 escape begins! Executed on June 22, 2025! 🌟 Tired of the urban grind? Our first escape of the year is dedicated to strawberry picking! We chose Downey's Farm Market, opening July 7th, just one hour from Toronto. 🚗💨 (Address on the last slide!) The farm has two main sections: 1️⃣ On one side of the driveway: A charming farm market selling fresh produce, baked goods, local wines, and more! There's also a kids' play area (we didn't check it out, but it looks fun!). 🧺🍞 2️⃣ On the other side: The U-Pick fields! A huge area where you hop on a tractor ride (about 5 minutes) to reach the strawberry patches. Along the way, you'll spot cornfields and apple orchards too! 🌽🍎 🍓 Pro Tips: The strawberries are small but sweet—pick the ones on the sunny side for maximum flavor! (Though they're still not as sweet as Asian varieties 😉) It was quite busy—seems to be one of the first farms open for picking this season!
