🇨🇦 Victoria Day Trip Around Toronto – Sudbury

🇨🇦 Victoria Day Trip Around Toronto – Sudbury Day 1️⃣ We started our adventure with a visit to Dynamic Earth, where we descended into the authentic mine ruins ⛏️—it was fascinating to walk through the underground tunnels that once bustled with miners. After exploring the mine, we made sure to snap photos with the iconic Big Nickel 🪙, a giant landmark that’s become synonymous with Sudbury. One of the highlights here was the hands-on stone-polishing activity ✨; getting to grind rough stones into smooth, shiny gems with our own hands felt like uncovering little treasures. Later, we checked out the abandoned graffiti-covered hospital. Every inch of the building is covered in vibrant, eye-catching murals 🎨, with colors that pop against the weathered walls. Though we could only admire it from the outside (it’s fenced off for safety), the artistic chaos made for some incredible photos. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re passing by or love urban photography—just don’t forget your camera! For dinner, we took a chance on Di Gusto, an Italian restaurant we found on Google Maps with great reviews, and it didn’t disappoint 😋. Their wood-fired pizza 🍕 was a standout—crispy crust, fresh toppings, and perfectly melted cheese that had us going back for seconds. It was the perfect end to our first day. Day 2️⃣ Our second day took us to A.Y. Jackson Lookout, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather ☀️. The air was crisp and fresh, and the clear skies made every photo look like a postcard 📸. The trail here is totally—no paved paths, just dirt and rocks worn smooth by countless hikers. It’s a true adventure: we had to scramble up steep sections using both hands and feet, and in some spots, it was literally a matter of climbing over boulders 🪨. The effort was worth it, though—each step revealed more stunning views of the surrounding forests and valleys. #Toronto#TorontoLife#TorontoDayTrips#Sudbury#TravelBeauty#Travel#Hiking#ScenicHikes#TravelMoments
