Taking advantage of my Schengen visa before it expires + reading week = perfect time to explore! Must-dos in Athens: the Acropolis and yogurt, but the giant meat skewers are also amazing! π½οΈ Food Recommendations: 1οΈβ£ Street Souvlaki πππππ For solo travelers: Try the grilled meat platter (includes pita, fries, and tomato-onion salad). πΆ β¬9.5 β huge portion! 2οΈβ£ Delicious Souvlaki ππππ Google rating: 4.8β β didnβt try it (similar to lunch), but highly rated! 3οΈβ£ Fresko Yogurt Bar Acropoli πππ Overhyped on Xiaohongshuβ¦ Yogurt is thick, but the jam is too sweet. πΆ β¬3.55 β worth a try if curious. ποΈ Attractions: Skip the β¬30 combo ticket! Students: Just buy the Acropolis ticket (β¬10). Other sites on the combo ticket are visible from outside the fences (and often covered in scaffolding ποΈ).
