🇬🇷 Go to Greece — How to Explore Athens
When visiting Greece, you must try these foods: olives (and olive oil) and lamb. Olives: Eat them alone – they have a strong sweet-sour taste. Olive oil is like Beijing’s sesame sauce – you can dip anything in it! It’s usually served with bread before meals – highly recommended. You can also buy some as souvenirs. Lamb: The meat quality is excellent. Grilled lamb chops or slow-cooked lamb are both delicious – no gamey taste at all! Also, try some local specialties – "you’re already here!" 😊 Greek Salad: Light and refreshing, perfect with meat dishes.👌 Moussaka: Layers of eggplant and minced meat – hearty and unique. Souvlaki: Large meat skewers, often served in pita bread. (I was always too hungry to take proper photos of the food! 😅) 🍽️ Restaurant Recommendations: 1️⃣ Ατίταμος (Near the National Archaeological Museum) A very local and hidden gem! Every dish is delicious – even the fried potatoes were crispy and amazing. The lamb chops are a must-try! Prices are very affordable. 2️⃣ Mpirmpilo (Near Syntagma Square) A popular spot for locals. Nothing mind-blowing, but every dish is solid. 3️⃣ Samba Coffee Roasters (Near Syntagma Square) The best coffee I had in Athens! ☕ 4️⃣ Orizontes Lycabettus (Fine dining on Lycabettus Hill) Great for the location! Book ahead to enjoy the sunset while eating. The food is good, but prices are twice as high as elsewhere.😁 5️⃣ Dionysos Zonar’s (Right next to the Acropolis) Offers a great view of the Acropolis, but the food is average. This was the most expensive meal of my trip! #Greece #GreekTravel #GreekFood #Europe #TravelTips 🏛️🍴✨
