Two Kostas- Barista and Owner are just amazing guys. Super friendly, passionate and knowledgeable about coffee. As I am also interested in coffee, I had a very pleasant time talking to the owner about coffee and all of the processes from farming to roasting. This place will stay in my mind with its quality for sure even though I have a very poor memory capacity. I forget names very easily but I definitely will remember the taste and smell of their beautifully roasted coffee. The filter coffee that I tried was Rwanda and it was trully unique and had super clean taste with a balanced amount of acidity. Kosta - the owner suggested me their espresso as well even though I stopped drinking espresso after unpleasant taste experiences from other roasters. In fact the espresso I tried was very unique and mind-blowing. I could still taste the beautifully balanced acidity in my mouth after 4 hours. They will probably be the reason for me start giving a 2nd chance to espresso again.Even tho they told me its origin, I can't remember where it was from but ask their suggestions.
Overall unique and very pleasant coffee experience. In my opinion, this is the best roaster&cafe in Athens. If you are nearby, don't miss the chance to go there and get the chance to meet these two great guys and taste their damn delicious coffee :)

Read moreHad their house blend espresso thinking that with their long histor (since 1979) they will not be gyrating to the acidic fruity coffee tasting trend that seems to plague all new age roasters. Unfortunately, that's their taste profile so it is not to my liking. Dine in prices are higher than takeaway (€1.90 vs €2.50) but other than the ceramic cups used, there doesn't seem to be any other differences. This is ironic given ceramic cups do not cost any money compared to disposable takeaway paper cups. The big printed menu prices are for takeaway only so the dine in prices are not visible. You still place the order yourself and collect the drinks yourself as there's a Self Service sign. They're not using the traditional espresso machine so there is no cup warmer. They jus rinse the cups briefly under hot water. This resulted in my espresso cup at only room temperature on the inside and only slightly warm on the exterior. Not professional for a coffee roaster and doing extraction by yield. Service is without any smiles, greetings or thank you when you place your order at...
