🇺🇸 3 Days 2 Nights in Monterey|A Seafood-Focused Journey
Over the Thanksgiving break, I set out on a relaxing trip with one main goal: eat lots of seafood 🦞🌊. Below are my honest thoughts — no filter, might be a bit spicy 🌶️: 🦐 Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Okay overall. I got the fried platter 🍤 — a bit greasy, and the fries were too salty. The appetizer “Shrimper’s Net Catch” (garlic version, since I can’t handle spice) was better than the main. But the real MVP 🏆: the Mango Pineapple Smoothie! Refreshing and absolutely delicious 🥤💛 🦐 The Sardine Factory I ordered the Scampi Rigatoni — decent, but the shrimp didn’t taste as fresh as Bubba Gump’s (maybe just my weird sensitivity to certain seafood flavors 😵💫). The pasta sauce was tasty but got heavy quickly. Service was slow — understaffed and pasta arrived slightly hardened 😬. My true highlight: their Lemonade — legit the best I’ve had in the US so far! 🍋✨ 🦐 The Fish Hopper Ate here twice. First time: to-go meal before the aquarium 🐠. Fries were better than Bubga Gump’s, but the bread was over-toasted (though generously stuffed). Dinner: Platter For Two — huge portion but WAY too salty 🧂… Drank more than I ate. One scallop had sand in it — not a good bite 😣 Unexpected MVP: their hot tea 🫖! Not bitter even after steeping, and it was free — the server brought a whole box of tea bags to choose from! 🧐 Honest take: A lot of recommended spots are great for photos 📸, but the food is just okay. For me, Bubba Gump had the freshest seafood (based on my no-nausea meter 🤢➡️👍). These are just my personal opinions! 🙂 Your experience might be totally different. #SeafoodLover #MontereyEats #FoodReview #Monterey #HonestFoodDiary
