🇺🇸 4-Night Chicago City Walk Experience

There’s so much travel info about Chicago online, and most of it says the same thing: get a CityPASS, grab a transit Day Pass, and just walk around. And honestly? It works! Chicago is tourist-friendly and offers a fantastic experience. 🏨 Accommodation: I stayed north of the river—great location with easy access to everything, including the Magnificent Mile. Hotels in Chicago are about twice as expensive as in the suburbs, and I couldn’t find a good Airbnb for groups. I ended up at Hilton Garden Inn. I thought the Hilton name meant quality, but… the walls were paper-thin 🧱🙉, and the water pressure in the shower was weak 💧😤. Downtown gets loud at night with sirens and street noise, and closing the window didn’t help. Note to self: always check soundproofing before booking! 🚇 Transportation: Everyone says skip driving—and they’re right! Downtown traffic is heavy, and parking can cost $70-80 per day 🚗💸. I bought a Day Pass on the Ventra app—super convenient for buses and trains. But honestly? I got motion sickness every time I rode public transit 😵🫨... 🎡 Attractions: I bought the CityPASS on Taobao—half the price of the official site! 👍 But each attraction required booking through customer service, which was a bit annoying for last-minute planners. 🚢 Architecture River Cruise: So relaxing to sail along the river surrounded by stunning architecture 🏙️👏. The guide shared cool history (mind-blowing that these were built 100 years ago!). I was hooked for the first 10 minutes… but my attention faded after an hour 🥱🔈. Skydeck Chicago: The line was loooong 🐌—waited from daytime till dusk. Each group only gets 90 seconds to take photos. Felt more rushed than reflective 📸⏳. Art Institute of Chicago: They have Van Gogh and Monet, but as someone not super into art, I felt a bit lost 🖼️❌. Walked 20,000 steps and left exhausted 😮💨. Museum of Science and Industry: HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! 🤯🚀 This place is speechlessly amazing! Affordable entry, and even the extra exhibits are worth it. Way more engaging than the art museum—deserves a full, detailed visit! Verdict: Chicago is great! It has its issues, but it’s cleaner and feels safer than New Orleans. If the city could address homelessness, it’d be absolutely perfect 👏❤️. My favorite city so far! 🌆✨ #ChicagoTravel #CityWalk #TravelDiary
