Joe’s Seafood I can’t believe there’s a Joe’s Seafood branch in Chicago! Just for their Stone Crab, I’ve already been here three times 💕 🦀 Stone Crab I’m absolutely obsessed with stone crab! The claws are thick, packed with sweet and firm meat, and so easy to eat. Dipped in their classic mustard sauce — pure happiness 😍 That feeling of taking a bite and your mouth being filled with juicy crab meat… it’s irreplaceable! The stone crab at the Chicago location tends to run smaller. Only once was I lucky enough to get JR Jumbo size ($46.95 per claw!). The other two times, the largest available was Large (10 claws for $189.90). Makes me miss the Mega Colossal size from Miami even more 🥲 🍄 Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms A must-order every visit! The mushrooms soak up all the creamy, cheesy, buttery goodness, with strong garlic and spinach flavors. So rich and indulgent — totally worth the guilt. 🍤 Madagascar Shrimp These shrimp come with roe and shrimp paste — looks amazing, but they were slightly overcooked and a bit dry and tough. Dipping them in the curry sauce helps a bit. Since there’s no Joe’s in New York, I’m making the most of my time here in Chicago!
