🇺🇸 Chicago 3-Day Chill & Efficient Itinerary (No Regrets!) 📒
Arrived in Chicago by morning flight ✈️, took the Blue Line from the airport to downtown, then transferred to the Red Line to reach the hotel. Total travel time: ~1 hour. 🏨 Hotel: Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile Right on the Magnificent Mile with a subway station nearby—super convenient! Day 1️⃣ Magnificent Mile ➡️ Millennium Park (The Bean) ➡️ Route 66 Sign ➡️ 360 Chicago Observation Deck 🌃 🌟 Started around noon: Visited the Starbucks Reserve Roastery ☕ Strolled along the Magnificent Mile toward the Chicago River Stopped by the Apple Store for a quick break 🍏 Walked <10 mins south to Millennium Park (home of Cloud Gate ☁️) The Art Institute is nearby, but saved it for later to avoid fatigue 😫 The Route 66 sign is right across from the Art Institute ‼️ Pro tip: There’s another “Historic Route 66” sign hidden further down the street near the Starbucks—easy to miss! Wrapped up the afternoon and took a short ride to 360 Chicago (book tickets online in advance 📲) Ended the day with stunning night views! Day 2️⃣ University of Chicago ➡️ Chinatown ➡️ North Avenue Beach ➡️ Navy Pier ➡️ Chicago River Architecture Cruise 🌟 Took a 30-min ride to the University of Chicago 🏛️ Explored the campus, then headed to Chinatown (10-min ride) Bought Chicago souvenirs (especially fridge magnets 🧲) at Asian Image—also has U.S. license plate magnets for $2.99 each! Lunch: Happy Lamb Hot Pot 🍲—all-you-can-eat, great value! Rode to North Avenue Beach 🏖️ for skyline photos 📸 Made sure to allow enough time to get to Navy Pier Took the Shoreline River Tour ⛴️ (departs from Michigan Ave or Navy Pier) ‼️ Highly recommend booking between 4-5 PM—any later and it gets chilly on the water! 🥶 They also offer Lake Michigan cruises 🌊 Day 3️⃣ Lunch at McDonald’s Hamburger University 🍔 (daily changing menu) Spent ~3 hours at the Art Institute of Chicago 🖼️ (Van Gogh’s self-portrait is on the 2nd floor!) Took a relaxing walk along the Riverwalk—one of Chicago’s highlights 💙 Grabbed luggage and headed to the airport via Red Line → Blue Line Three days and two nights were just enough to explore without rushing! This itinerary leaves plenty of time for photos and casual wandering. If you have extra time, consider adding the Field Museum of Natural History 🦖🌿. #Chicago #ChicagoTravel #ExploreChicago #TravelGuide
