🇺🇸 Chicago Architecture River Tour

The Chicago Architecture River Tour is absolutely fantastic—our guide acted like a human GPS, pointing out every highlight and helping us snap stunning photos along the way! 🚢📸 We felt like we were sailing straight into the heart of the Windy City. Here’s your ultimate guide to making the most of it! As part of the IPW2025 trip, we discovered the vibrant side of Chicago! 🌆 📍 Boarding Points There are two boarding locations. We boarded at the Michigan Avenue Pier (right across from Trump Tower downtown). The other is at Navy Pier. 👉 Michigan Ave: 401 N. Michigan Ave 👉 Navy Pier: 124 N. Streeter Drive ✨ Pro Tips Arrive early! Get there 15 minutes before departure to snag a spot on the side of the boat for the best unobstructed views and photos. ⏰ Tour Duration & Ideal Time 👉 Tour lasts about 75 minutes. 👉 Best time: 6-8 PM! 🌅 The golden hour light makes the architecture glow, and it’s less crowded and not too hot. We took the 6:15 PM tour, and even the guide said it’s the perfect time for photography. 📸 Architecture Highlights + Photo Ops (Here’s the fun part!) The guide was super engaging—every building has a story, and they’ll cue you for the best photo moments (trust them, it works!). You’ll pass by these iconic landmarks: 🏙 Trump International Hotel & Tower: A dark-blue glass skyscraper—the guide called it the crown jewel of Chicago’s skyline! 📸 Perfect reflection shots with the sky. 🏙 Wrigley Building & Tribune Tower: Gothic-style classics—best captured from the side when passing under bridges. 🏙 Marina City (the “Corn Cob” towers): The guide highlights its futuristic design—go for a wide-angle shot here. 🏙 Lake Street Bridge & L Train: Steel bridge + elevated train = vintage vibes! 🚂 The guide tells you to shoot upward right under the bridge—when the train passes, spam that shutter button! (We tried, instant win 🏆) 🏙 Swissôtel & Modern Towers: The guide shares fun facts about modern architecture while you capture dreamy reflections on the water. 💸 Money-Saving Tip CityPASS is totally worth it! → Single boat ticket: $44.95 ❌ → CityPASS: $142 for 5 attractions ✅ ✨ That’s basically a free boat tour + access to 360 CHICAGO and Shedd Aquarium! (DM if you want a full guide on the pass!) #Travel #USATravel #ExploreChicago #ChicagoTour #MovieBackdrops #ChicagoRiverTour
