🇺🇸 Chicago Dessert Shop｜Purple Sweet Potato Puff & Matcha Cake

📍 Aya Pastry Yesterday, I saw a post by and immediately got obsessed with the purple sweet potato puff! 😍 So this morning, I woke up and headed straight to check it out. 🚀🍠 The place seemed pretty popular—I arrived at 9:30 AM, and there was already a couple ordering in front of me. Right after I walked in, several more groups showed up and a line started forming! 🧑‍🤝‍🧑👫 Most people seemed to be here for their bakery items. I ordered the Purple Sweet Potato Puff and Matcha Mochi Cake. 🌟 Sweet Potato Puff The purple sweet potato flavor was quite noticeable! 🍠✨ The filling even had a slight textured feel of real sweet potato. Besides the custard filling, there was also a decorative rim of something like whipped cream around it. 🧁 But honestly, it was a bit too sweet for me—probably best shared between two people with a cup of tea! ☕️🤝 🌟 Matcha Mochi Cake This cake had a dense texture, and the outside seemed to have a sort of mochi-like skin—but totally different from the mochi you buy at supermarkets. 🍡🚫 This one had no chewiness or soft stickiness; the outer layer was super hard.
