🇺🇸 Chicago Solo Travel Plog|Enjoying My Me-Time in the Windy City

Finally stole a day between work trips to explore Chicago on foot! This time I stayed around River North and got around easily with a $5 bus day pass 🚌💫 🛍️ Magnificent Mile Home to the largest Starbucks Reserve in the US ☕, plus a new Harry Potter store! 🧙‍♂️ Lots of clothing shops and close to river tours and museums – great area to wander. 🎨 Museum of Contemporary Art Took about 40 mins to explore. Small but fun exhibits + photo-friendly stairs! 📸✨ 🎞️ Museum of Contemporary Photography Perfect for photography lovers – can be done in 30 mins 📷 🛥️ Lake & River Architecture Tour Booked the 90-min Wendella tour ($45) through Viator. Not crowded – could move freely on the deck for 360° views 🏙️🌊 The guide was entertaining and informative! Pro tip: Groupon sometimes has $20 tickets. Book early – sunset slots sell out! 🍴 Places to Eat: RPM Italian 🍝 Authentic Italian – even my Napoli Uber driver approved! Loved the crab squid ink pasta (handmade, al dente 👌) Their Brussels sprouts are still on my mind… so good! Saigon Sisters 🍲 Not in the Loop – the owner said his Vietnamese wife is the chef. Got the signature beef bone pho – a bit dry and slightly bitter. Just ok. Thai tea = $43 (with forced 20% tip 💸) Nutella Café 🥞 Yes, Nutella has a cafe! The crepe was super sweet (very American 😅) but nostalgic. Best with coffee or fruit. 🧥 Solo travel tip: Chicago can be windy – bring a jacket! #ChicagoTravel #SoloTravel #TravelDiary #MuseumHopping #ChicagoFood #ExploreChicago #TravelPlog
