🇺🇸 Dinner in OKC: Japanese Food Run by Malaysian-Chinese Owners!
We tried Saki Sushi Bar for dinner in Oklahoma City. As soon as we walked in, we heard Mandarin — instantly thought, “Another Chinese-run Japanese restaurant in the U.S., just like before!” But after sitting down and chatting, we learned the owner is actually Malaysian-Chinese 🇲🇾❤️, with roots in Fujian. He speaks both Hokkien and Mandarin fluently! The owner is super lively and loves chatting with customers 😄. His girlfriend is from Inner Mongolia, China 🇨🇳. The restaurant seemed popular — we arrived a little before 5 PM (not even peak dinner time!), and there were already quite a few customers. The food was delicious — fresh and full of flavor 🍱✨. The owner was very genuine and even advised us not to order too much since “two people wouldn’t finish it” 🫶🥢. The bill came to $144, and we left a $28 tip — total $172. 💵 A great meal with warm service and interesting stories — definitely recommend if you’re in OKC! 📍 Saki Sushi Bar (Exact address not provided in original text) #FoodReview #OklahomaCity #SushiLover #JapaneseFood #MalaysianChinese #OKC
