Swung by this Sushi spot to change up from my regular locations. First off the gentleman was super friendly and welcoming
There was no one else in the restaurant so we got his full attention. Mind you it was 4:45pm on a Monday but an empty restaurant never deters me.
We started with Crab Rangoons and they were delicious and fresh and very hot
We decided to try out 3 Rolls:
🐟 Crunchy Salmon (Right) Was delicious, felt it lacked that much needed crunch but the juicy ness and flavor of the salmon came across strong and the nice lemon 🍋 zest on top was a great compliment to all the fish
🏔️ Mt Fuji (Middle) I was excited for this roll, it did not miss, it has a wonderful crunch with the tempura, and delicious and fresh toppings.
🍣 Omega 3 (left) Omega took the win with the combination of fish and the avocado and crunch of the cucumber 🤤 it had a wonderful spice that packed such flavor and the juicy ness of the fish was incredible. I highly recommend this roll 👍👍
Overall the experience was pleasant, comforting music, has almost cozy coffee house vibes but has such a clean feel. Also love the mason jars for drinks and high quality chopsticks 🥢
Thanks for a wonderful first...
Read moreI don't know if I came at a bad time or what, but this didn't really hold up to the rating for me. The space is nice enough and well decorated, but the floor plan feels busy/haphazard and the space is barely too dark.
I got the nigiri lunch special and the pork katsu lunch special. Their bento lunch specials are a good deal for how much food you get, but the rice was very dry, the salad was mostly strips of iceberg lettuce, and the pork was insanely salty. The gyoza and accompanying sauce was nice though. The nigiri special suffered from even dryer sushi rice, and the fish tasted dull, as if the nutty floral notes you usually get from raw fish were covered in cotton.
Good to note: if you come between 1:30-3:00 on weekdays you get the place to yourself and lunch specials are still active. It was nice to have a quiet restaurant space to be in for a bit.
My server was kind but not super attentive. Granted though, I did come during a dead hour of business.
Overall, nothing was terrible, but neither was anything particularly good. Can't say I'd come again without an invitation from...
Read moreDon't judge a book by it's cover! On the outside this appears to be a small hole in the wall type sushi joint but it is actually much larger inside than I thought. The interior is spacious without feeling empty, beautifully decorated, and comfortably lit (on the dim side which I prefer). The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, attentive, and quick to fulfill any request. There is a small outdoor seating area, your normal tables and booths inside, as well as bar seating available. All food appears reasonably priced. I tried tuna nigiri and salmon nigiri along with a "specialty" roll and everything tasted fresh, clean, and delicious. The roll was beautifully plated and delicious. Plenty of cooked rolls and other cooked non-sushi food including hibachi for those that don't want sushi. This was a very pleasant surprise for a decision made on a whim to eat there, I will definitely be...
