🇺🇸 DMV Delicious + Great Value | Highly Recommended ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I made a reservation a month in advance for this restaurant—Lamaire, located inside the Jefferson Hotel. I had seen it recommended on social media and decided to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary here! 💍✨ Service Experience: Our reservation was for 7:00 PM. As soon as we entered, a friendly hostess greeted us with a warm smile and led us to a window table. Within two minutes, our server Dave came over, wished us a happy anniversary, and handed us the menu and drink list. 🥂❤️ There were two small incidents during the meal—both related to me... First: The moment I sat down, I felt extremely cold. I looked down and noticed a long air conditioning vent right by my feet. After ordering drinks, I mentioned it to Dave, and he immediately brought a tablecloth to cover the vent—super efficient! 🌬️🙌 Second: When my main course arrived, the first bite was extremely salty—like, three sips of water per bite salty (and I usually like salty food!). I thought maybe just the surface was salty, so I tried a piece from inside—still way too salty. When Dave checked on us, I told him, and he said, “You don’t have to finish it. I’ll have the kitchen make a new one for you—priority.” In about 7 minutes, a new plate arrived. The surface was still salty, but the inside was fine—much better! 👍🍽️ What We Ordered: 🍹 Husband’s drink: Golden Glow – He rated it 4.2 stars 🍹 My drink: Texas Beach (non-alcoholic) – 5 stars! So refreshing—will order again 🦪 Matheson Oysters on the Half Shell – 4.7 stars, cleaned perfectly and already separated from the shell 🥗 Caesar Salad (husband’s) – 4.2 stars, loved the tangy anchovies on top 🥩 Wagyu Beef Carpaccio – 5 stars! A must-order next time 🐟 Roasted Red Snapper – The salty one… flavor was good, but not my favorite. Husband liked it – overall 4 stars 🍗 Organic Chicken Breast – Husband rated 4.7 stars – said it was delicious 🍓 Mixed Berry Crumble (dessert) – Husband gave it 4.8 stars 🍮 Butter Pecan Crème Brûlée (my dessert) – So tasty, but the portion was huge—could only finish half! ☕ We also ordered a pot of black tea—they used Steep tea bags 🍲 Oakwood Shitake Bisque (soup) – Absolutely delicious! We both gave it 5 stars We ordered 11 items in total, and the bill came to $252. The whole dining experience was wonderful and joyful—highly recommend everyone try it! 🥳💫 Have you been to Lamaire?
