🇺🇸 DMV Food|My Taste Buds Are on a Roller Coaster 🎢
Haven’t had a meal this “exciting” in a while—flavors swinging from sweet, sour, bitter, to spicy all in one go! Some dishes surprised me, while others… let’s just say they tried 😂 🏠 Gypsy Kitchen DC 📍 1825 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009 🍄 Mushroom Al Ajillo Sour + Spicy 🌶️ Tasted very Chinese-style! Great with drinks 🍺 P.S. Remove the goat cheese unless you’re into that funk. 🫓 Labneh with Flatbread The bread was delicious—almost like scallion pancakes 🧅 Oily, fragrant, so satisfying! 🐙 Grilled Octopus Bitter + Spicy + Sweet 🎭 Burnt potato chips = bitter 😖 Dusted with chili powder, but saved by sweet mayo sauce 🧡 🐟 Branzino (Grilled Fish) Fish was tender, but that green sauce was… interesting. Sour, salty, weirdly addictive? 🤔 🐑 Slow-Cooked Lamb Shank Gamey + Bitter ✖️ The blackened look said it all—lamb wasn’t well-handled, seasoning was off 👎 🥩 New York Strip Steak Finally, something normal and tasty! 👍 🍰 Dessert Cheesecake = solid ✅ Almond cake = not it ❌ #DMVfood #DMVdining #GypsyKitchenDC #FoodReview #HonestEats #WashingtonDCeats #EatLikeALocal
