🇺🇸 Finally Tried the New Thai Restaurant in River North, Chicago! 🇹

I kept seeing posts about this newly opened Thai spot, but reservations were always hard to get — finally snagged one during off-peak hours (4:00 PM)! The restaurant’s decor has a cool vibe, and the flavors are on the bold side — definitely not shy with seasoning. Pricing is on the higher end, too. Here’s what we tried: 🥩 Crispy H.K. Pork Belly My personal favorite! The skin was super crispy, the pork tender and juicy, and the tangy Thai-style spicy lime sauce cut through the richness perfectly 🍋‍🟩 🍜 Wagyu Short Rib Khao Soi The beef was fall-apart tender, but there wasn’t much of it. Served with crispy fried noodles — felt like curry-flavored instant noodles with crunchy noodles on top. 🐠 Black Cod The fish was soft and flaky, served in a light, tangy broth (like a milder tom yum). Personally, I found the fish a bit too fishy in taste. 🍃 Basil Chicken Minced chicken served over crispy rice crackers. Way too salty for me — definitely needs steamed rice to balance it out. 🦞 Clay Pot Lobster Pad Thai Came with about three pieces of lobster meat. Tasted fine, but didn’t feel worth the price. 🐯 Crying Tiger A dessert shaped like a tiger’s head made of chocolate, filled with banana-flavored mousse, and drizzled with caramel sea salt syrup — fragrant and not overly sweet! 💰 Price: Around $90–$100 per person. 📍 Address: 51 W. Hubbard St., Chicago, IL #ChicagoLife #ChicagoEats #ThaiFood #RiverNorthChicago #NewRestaurant #FoodReview
