๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ First Glimpse of Washington DC

It was our first day in DC, and while still adjusting to the jet lag, we didnโ€™t want to venture too far. So, we decided to take a relaxing City Walk along DCโ€™s iconic National Mall! ๐Ÿšฉ U.S. Capitol Building ๐ŸŒŸ Highlight: The seat of the United States Congress, situated atop Capitol Hill. It is not only a symbol of American politics but also a witness to history. ๐Ÿšฉ Lincoln Memorial ๐ŸŒŸ Highlight: Built in honor of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. The pristine white marble and granite inspire deep respect. From here, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building. ๐Ÿšฉ Washington Monument ๐ŸŒŸ Highlight: This 169-meter marble obelisk commemorates George Washington, the first President of the United States. Inside, there are 50 flights of stairs and a high-speed elevator that takes you to the top for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. ๐Ÿšฉ The White House ๐ŸŒŸ Highlight: The official residence and workplace of the President of the United States, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Although visitors canโ€™t enter, you can still feel the significance of this historic place from outside the fence. #HalfDayTour #TravelDiaries #DC #WashingtonDC #NationalMallWalk #CapitolBuilding #CapitolHill #LincolnMemorial #WashingtonMonument #WhiteHouse ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโœจ
