🇺🇸 IL | Moody Tongue | Dining at a Former Brewery 🍻
I really realized how much I’ve been procrastinating. When I visited, it was still a two-Michelin-star restaurant, and the original location was a brewery. Now it seems to have dropped to one star. 😭 The dining room has two time slots. 🍽 Sharing a few interesting dishes + possible craft beer pairings: 🍄 Maitake Mushroom + Citrus Craft Beer 🍊 The mushrooms have that slightly charred, aromatic flavor from grilling. Paired with a citrusy beer, it’s refreshing and fruity. 🦀 King Crab + Floral Fruit Craft Beer 🌸 The crab meat is incredibly sweet. It goes perfectly with a beer that has a lychee and white peach aroma. 🥩 Dry-Aged Ribeye + Caramel Stout ☕️ The steak is perfectly aged. There’s a stout with a hint of caramel and coffee flavor. The beer’s rich body blends smoothly with the steak’s fattiness. The overall atmosphere is very comfortable. 💡 The lighting in the evening is really stylish.
