🇺🇸 Lake Tahoe Day Trip! + a fun macOS connection
Dreams really do come true! ✨ Back when I was still in China and found out I was going to Reno, I immediately started searching for cool outdoor spots nearby. When I came across Tahoe, the name felt so familiar… Then it hit me—🍎’s upcoming macOS 26 is named after it! As a tech girlie, I knew I had to visit Tahoe and ride that hype train 🚂💨 Never imagined I’d actually be here less than a week after arriving in the U.S.! One perk of staying in Reno? It’s only an hour’s drive to Tahoe—perfect for a day trip. I’ll probably come back often, but this time was all about scoping it out! Originally, I wanted to hike near Inspiration Point 🏞, but it started raining right after we got to the lake—so cold! 🥶 It didn’t stop until around 11 AM. By then, we’d slowly made our way to Secret Cove Nude Beach ☀️🏖. The sun came out, temps rose, and the lake looked like amber—crystal clear with little fish swimming around the rocks 🐟💦. Not too crowded, and yes, some people were fully nude, but most wore swimsuits—so no need to feel shy! Also, heard so much Spanish around! Music from one side 🎵, conversations from the other… though all I caught was “por ejemplo” and “fin de semana” 😂 The water was chilly but bearable—once you got used to it, it was super refreshing 🏊♀️. I even encouraged some Chinese tourists nearby to jump in. Totally worth it—you’d regret not swimming! After a while, I got tired and dozed off on a big rock (jet lag is real 😴). My boyfriend had to wake me up way later. Another highlight: Logan Shoals Vista Point 🌲👣 We walked down toward the lake and found this gorgeous forest trail—so beautiful and totally worth the detour! I think a lot of people miss it—maybe because the path isn’t super obvious, or they were worried about it being slippery after the rain. But it’s actually very walkable. Highly recommend! Memorial Point was nice but not mind-blowing. Definitely coming back to explore more! #LakeTahoe #Nevada #TahoeSummer 🏔️🌲💙
