🇺🇸 Mahanakhom Noodle Bar - Chicago Thai Food

I've been seeing this place all over social media! 📱 Finally went to check it out with a friend today, and it was pretty good! 👍 The interior has a cool, retro vibe – it's a cozy little spot. The host and servers are all Thai, and they play authentic Thai music in the background! 🎶 Now, let's talk about the three dishes we ordered! 🍽️ We started with the Green Papaya Salad. It was both sweet and tangy! 🌶️ They add chili peppers, giving it a slight kick, but it's totally manageable – just a mild spice! The surprising ingredient was the salted duck egg... 🥚 We weren't sure if we were supposed to mix it in or not, so we ended up eating the papaya and egg separately... LOL! 😂 Next, we had the Beef Hot Pot. The broth was on the sweeter side and absolutely delicious! 🍲 It contained beef tendon, beef slices, and beef meatballs – all very substantial! The meatballs were super chewy, while the tendon and beef were tender and practically melted in your mouth! 😋 The broth was perfect poured over rice – so comforting! 🍚 I also ordered a Thai coffee with less sugar. It had a rich, creamy flavor – really nice! ☕ The other rice dish was ordered by my friend's son, so I didn't try it – no comments there! Haha!
