πΊπΈ Mahanakhom Noodle Bar - Chicago Thai Food
I've been seeing this place all over social media! π± Finally went to check it out with a friend today, and it was pretty good! π The interior has a cool, retro vibe β it's a cozy little spot. The host and servers are all Thai, and they play authentic Thai music in the background! πΆ Now, let's talk about the three dishes we ordered! π½οΈ We started with the Green Papaya Salad. It was both sweet and tangy! πΆοΈ They add chili peppers, giving it a slight kick, but it's totally manageable β just a mild spice! The surprising ingredient was the salted duck egg... π₯ We weren't sure if we were supposed to mix it in or not, so we ended up eating the papaya and egg separately... LOL! π Next, we had the Beef Hot Pot. The broth was on the sweeter side and absolutely delicious! π² It contained beef tendon, beef slices, and beef meatballs β all very substantial! The meatballs were super chewy, while the tendon and beef were tender and practically melted in your mouth! π The broth was perfect poured over rice β so comforting! π I also ordered a Thai coffee with less sugar. It had a rich, creamy flavor β really nice! β The other rice dish was ordered by my friend's son, so I didn't try it β no comments there! Haha! Overall, this Thai spot is decent β I'd give it about three and a half stars! ββββ¨ Have you tried any amazing Thai restaurants in Chicago?
