🇺🇸 Oklahoma | A Glimpse of Downtown 📷
The capital of Oklahoma isn’t as bustling as I imagined ✨ Instead, it gives off a friendly and down-to-earth vibe 🍃 : Those electric scooters are totally the best way to explore the city 🛴 If you have the chance, definitely give them a try! The tram here is pretty cute 🚋 Took a quick stop at the Thunder’s home court – Paycom Center 🏀 Too bad there was no game that day, so the merch store was closed 😢 Scissortail Park wasn’t as stunning as I expected either, but the vast green lawn was seriously impressive 🌿 If it weren’t for the blazing heat that day, I would’ve totally laid down and chilled there. By the not-so-clean lakeside, some translucent flowers were blooming 💮 Ducks were waddling around in whole family groups 🦆 But I’d sitting on wooden benches to enjoy the view in summer — too many bugs (go away, mosquitos! 🦟) A surprise highlight was Union Station 🚉 It’s the former site of the local Union Station from 1931–1967, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Now it serves as the main office of the state’s transportation authority. Peeking through the gate, my partner and I both remembered the “Jinghan Railway Station” we visited in Wuhan 🚊 That one had even more charm and historical atmosphere 🏛️ #HiddenUrbanGems #WanderAndCapture #Cityscapes #Oklahoma #TravelSnaps #TramLife #ThunderUp #TravelDiaries #SeekingUrbanMagic
