🇺🇸 Oklahoma – Surprisingly Good Travel Experience? 😲
I went to Oklahoma City for a friend’s wedding—otherwise I probably would never have set foot in this mid-American city. When I told my Airbnb host that my friend was getting married there because they were “having a conference in OKC,” she laughed out loud and said, “I’m gonna remember that one!” 😂 So I was fully expecting some kind of barren, middle-of-nowhere vibe… But surprise—it was actually pretty cool! 🎉 We took a water taxi for just $10 per person 🚤💨, which was not only a great deal but also shared interesting Native American cultural stories. It even gave me a little Venice vibe! In Bricktown, all the restaurants had cool brick exteriors 🧱🍝. We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory—who knew eating pasta could feel so fancy with full-course meals? 🍴✨ Downtown was pretty spacious with clean streets and high-rises 🌃. It actually reminded me of walking around Xiamen (outside the island) at night! There were pretty bridges and nice lighting 🌉, and on the way back we stumbled upon a playground. I couldn’t resist—climbed the wooden structure 🪵, went down a super long slide 🛝 (got pushed by a kid lol), and felt like a child again. Shoutout to Jason for reliving childhood with me! I wish every city had free playgrounds and slides open to adults, too 🥹❤️. The Cowboy Museum was legit 🤠🎪! Learned a ton about cowboy culture, and it was my first time visiting a museum with both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Turns out, I really enjoy trips with a little cultural flavor ~ 📚✨ #Travel #Oklahoma #Cowboy #MidwestUSA
