🇺🇸 Where I Took My Parents in Atlanta!
9 must-visit spots for parents traveling to Atlanta 🌟 Since it was my parents’ first time in the U.S., we decided to explore Atlanta instead of traveling far—both to ease their jet lag (which took nearly a week 😴) and because I was planning our wedding while pregnant 👰♀️🤰. So… we started with a gentle introduction to American life right here in our city! Lanier Island 🏞️ Perfect for a full day surrounded by nature! Beautiful lakes, fresh air – ideal for walking, biking, or even golfing with your parents. Stone Mountain ⛰️ A true natural wonder and an Atlanta landmark. Great for family-friendly hikes with rewarding views. NBA Game 🏀 An unforgettable experience! The energy, the crowd – my dad said it was a dream come true! Gibbs Gardens 🌸 A stunning Japanese garden billed as “number one in the U.S.”—not sure by what metric, but it’s beautifully blends Eastern and Western influences. Vickery Creek Trail 🥾 If your parents enjoy light hiking, this trail offers waterfalls, woods, and peaceful paths suitable for all fitness levels. Swan House + History Museum 🏛️ Elegant architecture and rich history – a great way to dive into Atlanta’s past together. Panda Market 🐼🥢 We had to cancel due to a storm, but I’ve heard it offers a wide variety of Asian flavors perfect for parents craving a taste of home. Local Farmers Market 🥕🍅 Almost every city has one! Fresh organic produce and a lovely rustic vibe – a fun and healthy shopping trip for the whole family. Ponce City Market 🏭🛍️ A beautifully adapted historic building turned into a buzzing food and retail hub. Having worked in adaptive reuse projects back in China, I truly appreciate this place as a work of art. Atlanta is full of diverse experiences – from nature and culture to food and history. I hope this month left my parents with beautiful memories! ❤️👨👩👧 #JustGo #TravelWithParents #Atlanta
