1983 Chinese Cuisine|Ambiance + Flavor = Love! ❤️
🍽️ 1983 Chinese Cuisine The white-cut chicken was incredibly tender! My husband absolutely loved it. 🐔💕 We noticed other guests ordering tea and found it really unique—since I’ve recently been getting into tea, we decided to order some too. The teapot with a candle warmer was so atmospheric ✨—the owner told us it’s Da Hong Pao tea, and the aroma was absolutely amazing! You could really taste the sweet aftertaste—good tea is just on another level. 🍵🌿 We ordered a bunch of dim sum dishes. Honestly, we were so hungry we forgot to take photos of most of them 😂, but everything we tried was delicious! Personal favorites: the lava custard buns and egg tarts were so good, we actually ordered extra to take home! My daughter couldn’t get enough of them! 🥮🥚 We also had the steamed fish—it was fresh and mild, perfect even for my super-picky daughter! 👧✅ My top dish was the Chives with Bullfrog—wok-fried to perfection, fragrant and savory. I couldn’t stop eating it! 🐸🔥 I’d seen mixed reviews online and was a little worried, but we decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad we did! Taste really is subjective, after all 😉. Service was friendly in my experience—not as negative as some reviews mentioned. They just opened recently, so the team is still growing. The guy taking our orders was even training a young team member—pretty cool to see! 👏 Sadly, we forgot to order the Salt & Pepper Shrimp—so we’ll definitely be back! It’s rare to find a Chinese restaurant in the DMV with this much style and flavor. Family-friendly, beautiful, and delicious—what’s not to love? Highly recommend! 💯 Have you been here yet?
