This review is based on the quality of food only. I’ve been there twice. The first time it was ok, that’s why I went there for a second time. But the food I had during my second visit is not good, and I have to write about it. Everything I had for the first visit was better than the second visit. The roasted duck is good, and had decent portion size. I wasn’t able to finish it and took leftovers home and made duck noodles with it, tasted superb. It makes a good soup broth and pairs well with udon or glass noodles. If you go, I do recommend the duck. The beef chow fun is average. Nothing is special about it, it’s not bad, it’s not good, it’s just ok. Now we take a turn to the not so happy part. The sashimi was still FROZEN when served, fish slices are still rock hard. It is not supposed to be frozen. Even if the fish came not frozen, the fish quality itself is still bad, look at those sad pieces of salmon with no fat. I’m also wondering is this even salmon to begin with? Portion size of this dish is also small. I ordered the sashimi for both visits. The fish pieces were not frozen and had distinct fat lines unlike those I had for the second visit. Char siu is very greasy, cold, and only had about 6-8 tiny pieces on a plate. It is pork belly with more than 80% fat. Mango Sago Pomelo doesn’t have pomelo inside, and the mango flavor tastes like artificial mango you’d get at cheap boba places blended with actual mangos that are sour. If I’m considering the second visit only, the food would only be 2 stars or even 1. But I’m balancing the two visits, therefore the...
Read moreCame here for the grand opening, but when we were seated, we didn’t get any menus and had to grab them ourselves after waiting for 15-20 mins. Then the manager came over and said “it looks like you guys are struggling with the menu” and asked if we had questions about what the items were when really we were just waiting for someone to come to the table. Half of our group was Chinese, so it was a bit insulting. I asked if they could please send a server over, we’re ready to order and she completely ignored everything I said, asked if we wanted tea and never came back the entire night. This restaurant could have been great, but they don’t seem to know how to function yet, were majorly understaffed, and the price to plate size is over priced. Majority of the entrees had 6 pieces of food for $15-20 dollars. On top of that, when we placed our order and our server repeated it back to us, half the items were missing from the list. After almost $200 spent, we were not close to full but our server had also not come back once until we had already finished our food and were waiting for over ten minutes. We asked for the check and will not be back. It was embarrassing to bring our out-of-town guests here. Go somewhere else for a better experience and value. Service...
Read moreWhen I went to make my order yesterday for takeout, the young hostess at the front was very friendly, engaging, patient and eager to help. One problem is the high prices of the menu items which can quickly burn a hole in one's wallet and that happened to me, unfortunately. The other issue was the presence of other customers who were extremely rude and didn't appear to have any manners, one of which wanted to pose for an incessant amount of pictures in the area where I was sitting, while waiting for my order. This old lady had, what looked like, her husband and son with her, who both decided to keep taking pictures for maybe 10-15 minutes, non-stop. How many pictures do you need in front of a portrait and antique phone, right, especially with a stranger sitting nearby? Another rude, young teenagish customer had come in after me, while I was making my order, and glared at me in a stare down while I was finalizing it. I guess I was taking too long with my order and she didn't like having to wait for 5 extra minutes. Other than these issues, which I know that the restaurant cannot help, the experience was great with wonderful staff...
