2024 Spring Festival in Chicago: #Detective Chinatown Adventure! ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ”

๐Ÿงจ I've been to Chicago's Chinatown many times before, but I've never taken photos there. This Spring Festival, I brought my little camera along to soak up the festive atmosphere of Chinatown (parades and all that jazz~). ๐Ÿ“ท๐ŸŽ‰ Turns out, I arrived a bit too earlyโ€”the main events weren't until the 18th! ๐Ÿ˜… But even on that day, the place was already packed. I ended up circling the parking lot 20 times before finally giving up and parking in a non-designated spot. ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ ๐Ÿ‰ In front of Chinatown, there's a replica of Beijing's Nine-Dragon Wall and a quaint Chinese-style pavilion. During the Spring Festival, three dragon lanterns are lit up, adding to the lively vibe. ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ’ก When night falls and the lights come on, it's quite a sight to behold! ๐ŸŒƒโœจ ๐Ÿงง Cross the street, and you'll see the iconic signboard that reads "The World Belongs to All" (with "Morality, Righteousness, Integrity, and Sense of Shame" inscribed on the back). Along the street, there are mostly restaurants and a few grocery stores. The neon signs give off a strong Hong Kong-style flavor. "Shing Muk" glasses (which also means "smart" in Cantonese) really caught my eyeโ€”a clever play on words! ๐Ÿ‘“๐Ÿ˜‰ There are also some clan associations and, not to forget, a group of plump pigeons enjoying a self-service feast near the "You're So Beautiful" signboard. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ โœŒ๐Ÿป Finally, I managed to squeeze into the perpetually crowded Lao Gao BBQ. The service was truly top-notch! ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ‘ Actually, when I arrived, they weren't open yet. But as soon as I mentioned I was freezing, the friendly waitress immediately let us in and even brought us a pot of hot water โ™จ๏ธ. โœ… I hope that in the new year, I can use my little camera to capture more of the local customs, scenery, and beauty! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐ŸŒ (In a casual conversation: Me: "I want to be a photographer. Open a photography studio for me!" Lao Cuo: "Maybe you should just find a regular job." ๐Ÿ˜„) #Chicago #ChicagoFun #ChicagoTravelGuide #ChicagoChinatown ๐ŸŸ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ง
