3-Day Hassle-Free Itinerary in Nepal

After being picked up by our driver and guide at Kathmandu Airport, we set off for Bhaktapur.๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐ŸŽBhaktapur Durbar Square (Nyatapola Temple + Pottery Square + 55 Window Palace + Handmade Yoghurt) ๐Ÿ‘€British traveler Powell once said: "Even if the whole of Nepal were gone, as long as Bhaktapur remains, it would be worth flying halfway around the world to see." Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the World Heritage Sites, is the largest among the three Durbar Squares. It is also the birthplace of medieval Nepalese architecture and art.๐Ÿ˜Š There are 3 Durbar Squares in Kathmandu. "Durbar" means "palace". During the Malla Dynasty in Nepalese history, the king divided the country among his three sons.๐Ÿ˜˜ After the king's death, the three sons ruled separately, and each Durbar Square served as the palace of each king.๐Ÿคด ๐ŸŒตPottery Square features some ceramic handicrafts, such as vases, jars, and wind chimes. If you like them, you can buy them in advance. I originally planned to buy them on the last day when I returned to Kathmandu, but later found that Kathmandu didn't have the handicrafts I saw in Bhaktapur's Pottery Square, which was a bit regretful.๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰After visiting Bhaktapur and having lunch, we headed to Nagarkot to check into the hotel. Nagarkot is a village located on a ridge directly opposite the Himalayas, known as the "Viewing Platform of the Himalayas".๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒป ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฏ It is situated at a relatively high altitude of over 2,000 meters, so the temperature is much lower. The winding mountain roads are bumpy, which may cause motion sickness, so it's advisable to prepare motion sickness patches in advance. Our hotel in Nagarkot was CLUB HIMALAYA RESORT, which was similar to a Southeast Asian resort hotel. Both dinner and breakfast were buffets at the hotel, mainly Nepalese cuisine, with various types of flatbreads (quite fragrant) and some common Western dishes. ๐Ÿก๐Ÿข๐Ÿš Overall, there were no strange-tasting foods, and it was acceptable for most people, even if they are not very picky eaters.๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฒ We arrived at the Nagarkot hotel quite early, so we could wander around the hotel to take photos. ๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŒ‰There was also an open-air restaurant where we could order drinks and snacks while waiting to watch the sunset. โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ Alternatively, we could watch๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ the sunset on the viewing platform. #SmallCountryTravel#TravelAroundTheWorld#OffTheBeatenPathTravelExperiences#Bhaktapur #NepalTravel
