🍞 A Cozy Taiwanese Bakery in Atlanta You'll Love!
Never thought I'd be writing a bakery review – but Bread Connection has won my heart completely! This humble little spot bakes the most adorable, round, simple-style breads 🥐, each averaging just $3. Fresh, soft, and preservative-free – it's the real deal. Why am I posting about them today? Well, I witnessed something truly remarkable. The owner – in the softest tone – firmly declined a request to put up a certain political poster (you know the one – with the flying goddess theme that never seems to change 😅). Honestly, I was stunned. In my experience, many business owners prefer to avoid confrontation, especially on sensitive topics. But not her. When I asked why she took such a clear stand, she replied without hesitation: "Aren’t they a cult? Of course we can’t display that." I asked if she was worried about backlash. She just smiled softly and shook her head. In today’s economy, standing by your principles isn’t always easy – and I have so much respect for that 💚. Then there was the second visit – a moment so funny I still laugh about it! I asked if they could add a little mochi to my bread. The cute baker girl asked me in the sweetest voice: "Is your daughter surnamed Ren?" I was so confused! 🥴 After a few rounds of “Ren?” – “No, her surname is Ge!” – we finally realized: She was asking if my daughter eats almonds (杏仁 – xìngrén), not her surname (任 – Rèn)! We all burst out laughing, and now the whole shop knows my daughter’s last name is Ge and that she loves almonds 😂 Anyway – if you're near the Johns Creek / Duluth area, this warm, family-run bakery is absolutely worth a visit 🧡. The owners are kind, the vibe is pure, and they even play Jane Zhang songs – major taste points! 🎶 My personal favorites: Popcorn Chicken Fried Tofu Pork Chop Bento Purple Sweet Potato Bread & Toast (a weekly must-buy!) My daughter loves: Coconut Bread Mille Crêpe Cake Popcorn Chicken Fried Tofu Gather your foodie friends and go show them some love.
